Keith
Collins began his legal career with a focus on criminal
law and litigation. While attending the University of
Denver, College of Law, Keith represented indigent clients
as an attorney at the Student Law Office. While still
attending law school, Keith was offered a coveted internship
at the Boulder County District Attorney’s Office,
and was later hired as a Deputy District Attorney. While
at the DA’s office, he gained valuable trial experience
handling a variety of cases including felonies, misdemeanors
and juvenile delinquencies. Keith left the DA’s
office to start his own practice in the fall of 2003.
Since then, he has managed a successful practice in Boulder
focusing exclusively on criminal defense. While Keith
is a talented trial lawyer, he is equally adept at the
behind-the-scenes work that often proves critical to a
case: conceiving of strategies to exclude evidence, weakening
the governments’ hand, and providing mitigating
information regarding his clients so that charges are
reduced, dismissed, or a lesser sentence can be achieved.
In 2005 Keith joined forces with Michael Rafik, formerly
with the State Public Defenders Office, to form Collins, Rafik and Jacobson, LLC.
Keith
is an experienced, aggressive litigator who is committed
to providing each client with the personal care and
attention needed to achieve their goals. His aim is
to help people resolve their cases in a way that brings
the least disruption to their lives. Please contact
